AbSolute High Cap is silica-based ProteinA media for capturing monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies.AbSolute High Cap is based on a modified silica matrix that exhibits strong mechanical, thermal and chemical stability. The particles are small (35±2 µm) with a perfect spherical shape and very narrow size distribution.
Pore size is 100±15 nm. Ligand density is more than 10 mg/mL..
In 2009, NOVASEP Process SAS and partner AGC Si-Tech launched AbSolute High Cap, the modified silica-based protein A media for capturing monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies.This groundbreaking media exhibits a productivity improvement by 2 to 3 times compared with industry standards.The two companies collaborated for developing the media. AGC Si-Tech performed early development, production scale up and manufacturing while NOVASEP Process SAS developed application notes and supporting data and commercialization.
NOVASEP Process SAS and AGC Si-Tech have now mutually decided that NOVASEP Process SAS is ceasing the sales of AbSolute High Cap and handing over to AGC Si-Tech from April 1st, 2015 that will assure AbSolute High Cap commercialization through the AGC group. We believe that this leaner distribution channel will help serve AbSolute High Cap customers more efficiently.
Epoxy-coating has been optimized for chemical resistance and Non Specific Binding (NSB). It prevents from silica backbone degradation and protein A leakage during NaOH exposure.Microscopic views of particles, cross section and surface of particle are shown below.
AbSolute High Cap give the highest dynamic binding capacities at low and very high linear
velocities with high selectivity, reducing resin consumption resulting in increased productivity.
