H-series

SUNSPHERE H series is a synthetic spherical silica which has low cohesiveness and high fluidity. We have two types of H series which are normal type and high oil absorption type. The second type has over twice the absorption capacity of the first. This series has a variety of particle size. Porous silica has many advantageous characteristics, it has been applied for insect deterrent spray, perspiration deodorant and so on. It starts to use as functional filler of new type resin or film and supported catalyst. High oil absorption type has unique characteristics. It is very bulky and disintegrates easily. We try to be innovative in the creation of new functional materials.

Spherical and non cohesive. High oil absorption capacity unlike any other. Applied as new functional material filler.

L-series

L series has lower specific surface area than H series. This product is suitable for chemical surface modification or coating. Despite the difference of surface area, the product keeps same oil absorption capacity as H series normal type. This product also gives more smoothness better than other SUNSPHERE series by blending with other materials. So it can be used as a kind of cosmetic material. Because of the product porosity, it has a light scattering effect and applied as a matting agent. The particle size distribution is narrow, so it is able to give a single asperity to a thin coating layer. It is effective as a non-stick agent for film and so on.

Same oil absorption as H series and Low Specific surface area. Reduced the modification cost by low specific surface area. Lower surface silanol group than H series.

NP-series

NP series is non porous silica. This series has a very high hardness so it is used as filler for increasing resin hardness. Because of their high refractiveness, this series is applied to as transparent materials as an anti blocker. In addition, this series has high heat resistance and tolerant of temperature change, therefore it is able to add morphological stabilization. This is a very hard however it includes no crystal component, so it is a safe material.

Amorphous and non porous particles. Most highest compression strength (ex. 1900MPa). Suitable for adding heat resistance and morphological stability.

ET-series

By the innovative surface treatment technology, ET series has a water repellent effect. It is able to blend readily in W/O emulsion cream formulation. The inside porous structure was maintained underneath the surface coatings. Thus this product retains a moisture absorbing function which is a feature of silica gel.

I . Water repellent performance

[Test method]
Measured 30mL purified water in 50mL nessler tube, and added 1g test powder. Then observed condition.

II . Texture improvement

[Test method]
Applied 0.5mg/㎠ test powder on artificial leather Supplare (made by Idemitsu Techno Fine ) ,
and evaluated texture by KES-SE friction tester (made by Kato tech and sensor:artificial leather Supplare,load 25g) .

III . Dispersibility to oils(Silicone 6cs)

[Test method]
Added Dimethicone 6cs in test powder gradually, and mixed by a palette knife.
Where the triangular pyramid was made is the point of the oil absorption.
At that time when the test powder started to fluid down from a palette knife was a fluid point, after added Dimethicone 6cs furthermore.
The difference of both points is indicator of dispersibility.

IV . Hygroscopicity and moisture retention capability

[Test method]
Spread about 0.3g of the test sample in a petri dish thinly, and leave to stand under relative humidity from 10 to 90 % for 48 hours at 25.
After 48 hours, measured its gravity and evaluate hygroscopicity of the test sample.
